Under the Manual Handling Operations Regulations, 1992 employers are required to ensure that all employees are trained and competent in manual handling.  Manual handling accidents account for more than a third of all accidents reported each year.

The Working at Height Course ensures that employers and employees meet their responsibilities as stated under the  Work at Height Regulations 2005.

The Slips Trips and Falls at Work course has been designed to increase workers’ awareness of the many hazards that exist in most workplaces and the actions required to reduce the risk of injury.  The course will help individuals in all work settings to recognise, and control slip, trip and fall hazards.

The Working at Height course consists of 4 core units, concluded by a final exam.

UNIT 1 – WORKING AT HEIGHT LEGISLATION.
UNIT 2 – RISK ASSESSMENT.
UNIT 3 – HIERARCHY OF CONTROLS.
UNIT 4 – WORK LOCATION ISSUES.

The Slips Trips and Falls at Work course consist of 3 core units, concluded by a final exam:

UNIT 1 – THE LAW.
UNIT 2 – THE CAUSE.
UNIT 3 – PREVENTION.

By the end  of the Manual Handling in the Workplace course learners should be able to:
