The First Aid At Work Awareness – Fire Safety In the Workplace Awareness – Infection Control In The Workplace Course Bundle consists of 3 CPD Certified courses.
The first course in this bundle is the comprehensive online First Aid at Work Awareness course. This course is appropriate for those with or without prior First Aid training. The course is meant for informational purposes only and is not designed to meet government First Aider certification requirements.
The online Fire Safety in the Workplace Awareness course is appropriate for those with or without previous Fire Safety training. This course is an awareness course and as such is not designed to meet statutory fire certification requirements.
The Infection Control in the Workplace Course considers how infectious microorganisms are transferred in the workplace and the processes and procedures required to prevent infections from spreading.
These Awareness courses can also be used as a valuable part of a school, college or other educational programme.
COURSE DURATION.
The estimated duration of the constituent courses are
- First Aid At Work Awareness Course – 2 hours
- Fire Safety in the Workplace Course – 2 hours
- Infection Control In The Workplace – 2 hours
Learners may log in and out of the system. Course progress is automatically saved.
COURSE ACCESS.
Learners have 90 days of access to the First Aid At Work Awareness – Fire Safety In the Workplace Awareness – Infection Control In The Workplace course bundle materials from the date of registration. Learners receive individual login details and can access the courses using any device, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Course access ceases immediately following a successful final exam submission.
WHO REQUIRES THE COURSES IN THIS BUNDLE?
The First Aid at Work Awareness course is ideal for workplace inductions and refresher training, or indeed for the training of anyone requiring knowledge of the need for efficient first aid systems and procedures in the workplace.
Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) order 2005, all employees need a certain level of fire training and information. As a minimum, new starters need a basic induction which covers the alarm system, emergency procedures, and means of escape from the building.
Staff also need to know what type of fire fighting equipment they have on the premises and the safety considerations of their use.
The Infection Control in the Workplace Course is suitable for all staff members. It will provide important information which will enable them to understand the actions that should be taken to reduce the spread of infections in the workplace.
No previous training is required for either course.
COURSE CONTENT.
The First Aid At Work Awareness Course consists of 4 core units, concluded by a final exam:
UNIT 1 – ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
UNIT 2 – FIRST-AID INCIDENTS
UNIT 3 – UNCONSCIOUS CASUALTIES
UNIT 4 – INCIDENTS AND INJURIES.
The Fire Safety In the Workplace Awareness Course consists of 4 core units, concluded by a final exam:
UNIT 1 – HAZARDS AND RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH A FIRE
UNIT 2 – CONTROLLING THE RISK OF FIRE
UNIT 3 – FIRE SAFETY MANAGEMENT
UNIT 4 – THE FIRE WARDEN.
The Infection Control in the Workplace Course consists of 3 core units and is concluded by a final exam:
UNIT 1 – COMMON INFECTIONS.
UNIT 2 – HYGIENE AND PPE.
UNIT 3 – RISK ASSESSMENT.
